Viscosity

Viscosity is the property of a liquid to oppose flow resistance.

In this case, the term viscosity refers to the viscosity of the synovial fluid. The synovial fluid becomes more viscous when we make efforts to protect the joint.

Hyaluronic acid is synthesized by the synovial membrane and secreted into the joint cavity to increase the viscosity and elasticity of the joint cartilage and to lubricate the surfaces between the synovium and cartilage. If no effort is made, the synovial fluid has normal viscosity, to ensure the lubrication function of the joint.

Various joint conditions, as well as aging, may influence the viscous behavior of the synovial fluid, losing its qualities and properties and leading to cartilage wear and tear.

Depending on the health of the joints, the synovial fluid may be classified as normal, non-inflammatory, inflammatory, septic, and hemorrhagic.

ProHumano+ ArtroDinamic increases the degree of lubrication and mobility of the joints. One sachet of ProHumano+ ArtroDinamic contains 500 mg of hydrolyzed collagen, a substance found naturally in cartilage and 100 mg of hyaluronic acid, a component of synovial fluid.

Osteoarthritis (also called arthritis) can affect any joint. However, the most commonly affected areas of the body are the joints that support more weight, such as the joints of the knee, hip, and spine, but also the hands (finger joints).
